About Salsasion
As the original Salsa Rueda school in Ottawa, we are proud to have played a part in developing Ottawa's now vibrant Salsa scene. Salsasion regularly hosts parties including the famous Salsasion Annual Beach and Christmas parties. Salsasion has one of the highest student retentions in Ottawa. The students not only come to learn but to have fun and meet new people. Salsasion caters to all levels from beginner to advanced. Salsasion holds classes Wednesday nights. Since Wednesday nights are Salsa nights at Caliente, Ottawa's hottest Salsa club, it's great for the students to come to classes, and then practice into the night with their new Salsa friends. What makes Salsasion Dance School unique and exciting is it's Rueda style instruction. Also known as "Cuban Casino" or "Wheel Dance", pairs of dancers form a circle, with synchronized dance moves called out by one person, a caller (or 'Líder' in Spanglish). Many of the moves involve the swapping of partners.
